Proper leash is key too.

Clip a leash to a dog’s flat collar gives the handler zero control.

Cesar uses a basic sliplead. Excellent tool for dog walking and training.

I had a friend I visited for the first time at their house. They were outside with their dog when I arrived. We walked to the front door she opened the door and said. You first. Making it very apparent to the dog where I was in the pack. One of the nicest dogs I ever met.

You guys have to remember that the videos are edited, sometimes many hours, weeks, months, etc. of training are cut out and condensed into a half hour to an hour show. I love our Cesar! He's an amazing man! ❤️❤️❤️

Putting the lead that high round the dogs neck is a big part of the instant transformation. It pulls on a nerve in the neck and the dog finds it unpleasant. Similar to putting a bridle on a horse.

When we had our 65 pound Golden Retriever in obedience training, the first thing they did was fit all the dogs with the kind of training collar that Cesar put on this dog. She said the harness type collars give the dog more power, but the the collar Cesar used took away that power. This worked very well.
