IQAir HealthPro Plus vs. Aeris aair 3 in 1 Review

Update: The Aeris 3 in 1 is scheduled to be back in North America in 2024.
It will have a name change and it will now be called the Klaara P7 Pro.
The Aeris 3 in 1 had an H13 HEPA filter but the Klaara is supposed to be upgraded to an H14 HEPA Filter.
It will be able to interact with the iRobot vacuum system, as well.
It will be interesting to see what other changes have been made and how it filters in comparison to the past - as the 3 in 1 already possessed elite particle filtration capabilities.

How well the Aeris does at filtering VOC's and odors depends on what filter you use. In the US, iRobot sells 3 different models but they are actually all the same and only the filter is different. I work in a lab where we study decomposing human flesh so it smells horrible all the time until we got the Aeris with the Gas Pro filter and it has done an amazing job at reducing the smells.

Best comparison I've ever seen.
Hope you do more content.

Excellent comparison. The hpp design for removing the filter is horrible, but I feel it will do a better job for my needs. Thanks!

Thanks for making useful and informative content.
Seems that in many countries the Aeris systems' and filters' supply is done only by 3rd-party companies (most cases only 1). iRobot don't have it in their regional websites outside of US.
That's why I choose IQAir for our family. Having a reliable seller coverage world-wide makes it a better pick - replacing filter wouldn't be a problem and won't rely only on 3rd-party supply.

The Aeris 3-in-1 is $1199, currently on sale for $959.99. The filter costs $249.99
They must have watched this comparison, and decided to raise the prices :)

What worries me about the 3/1 is the new company manufacturing. Need to test the newer model now.

Please advise if the 3 in 1 is available in the US market If not I’m getting a few PRO PLUS.

I don't completely understand your question - are you asking if the Austin Air Healthmate is as good as these 2 units? If that is your question - I would says for particle filtration - "no" I don't think the Healthmate is as good as either. Plus, I will be making a video that compares all of them together soon. If you have a different question - please let me know - thanks!👍

Hello, great videos by the way😊. Unfortunately you can’t buy the Aeris 3 and 1 here in the US. My IQAir Health Pro Plus arrives tomorrow. Two questions:
Is the noise level on high really loud?
Does it affect electric bill negatively?
I have not returned my ALEN Breathesmart 75i just yet… I am still on the fence between the two.

Doug you reviewed the IQ air plus against the Austin standard version but how would you compare to the Austin plus or the five stage filtration in the Austin bedroom model? Looking for ultrafine particle filtration and dander filtration and I’m wondering is the IQ air plus better or the Austin air plus better?

I can't quite tell if the Swiss designers were more inspired by outdoor AC units from 1983 or PC towers from 1992, but boy, they nailed the look, either way. What an absolutely hideous machine. I know, it sounds shallow, but the look is the only thing stopping me from buying the IQ Air right now. I have a hundred year-old Craftsman. Where on Earth will this thing not be an absolute eyesore in my home? How did this happen? Nothing in Switzerland is this hideous!

Wouldn’t 99.5% down to 0.003 micron filtration be better than 99.98% of 33 times larger 0.1 micron particulates? I would assume the IQ Air would filter something like 99.999% of 0.1 micron particulates.

I want an Aeris, but I live in Canada and can't find them here.

Great content! Is boron outgassing a concern on these units? Why iqair recommend their gc model for people with mcs? In my opinion the best purifier was the purafil purashield smart 1000. And the best for particles is the probably Mann+Hummel OurAir SQ 1750

I’m struggling a lot after bringing in some new furniture, which I’m assuming is from off-gassing— do you know of any solutions besides the IQAir MultiGas? It’s out of budget atm.

I’ve set up a carbon filter with an in-line fan, but I know carbon isn’t the best for gasses like formaldehyde :/

Do you have video on the Plus vs the Air? Amazon has 100 dollar difference

Hello! Wonderful review and awesome channel. I really want to purchase a 3:1 but with the current unavailability of the unit, I feel like I’m restricted to the iq air. I noticed some 3:1 available on Amazon as refurbished. Do you have any thoughts on purchasing a second hand unit?

Is the Aeris 3-in-1 HEPA H13 Air Purifier in your review the model #P101620 air? I'm thinking of buying a refurbished one. Will I have long term difficulties ordering replacement filters? What do you think of refurbished units in general?

Do you think that the AQI monitor on the 3-in-1 would be somewhat reasonable?
