you dont need an r4 for th dsi, you can jailbreak it and use twilightmenu on any sd card, and gba games run perfectly in my experience

GBArunner2 runs better when it's being loaded on a modded DSi from the console's SD card slot. Still not perfect tho.
GBArunner3 is in the works. Despite being in beta, it already runs better than GBAR2, and the test results on flashcarts and modded DSis is nearly identical, too!
This thing's future is really bright!

You should use the internal sd card slot instead of an r4. Gbarunner runs far better that way

The DSi can run much better GBA emulation if you softmod it, rather than using the R4 card

The DSi actually does have GBA hardware. They didn't remove it from the 3DS line either. They both have a specific way to access it, but it has full compatibility.
