I am 6 weeks postpartum. I received 3 extra stitches as the “husband stitch”. Our doctor did not ask or tell either me or my husband. I am 30-50% closed compared to before. My husband would never have wanted this and neither did I. I am now seeking a reversal surgery as I am in pain for days from just gently feeling the area with a finger. I most certainly won’t be able to have sex. I know my vagina, and I feel closed. I did NOT even have a perineal tear or episiotomy. It was INTENTIONALLY done without any form of consent. Duluth, MN. July 2022. Healing has been drawn out and excruciating. It is NOT a myth. My doctor was a woman.

This was done to me in the 90's. I hope that it doesn't happen anymore.

The husband stitch is NOT a thing of the past, and you're an unprofessional jerk at best for laughing about it. By the way, a lot of dads aren't asked or informed before it's done either.

Is it bad I'm hoping the full moon myth is true? If so... I could be like my mom with both myself and my brother brother go into labor early. It's probably not good to hope that... but I just want to meet him already. 🤣🤣🤣
