Upgrade from X3 to X4 would be great. However you also need to buy new batteries, a new mic adapter. These are not compatible from X3 to X4. Next the low Light performance of the X4 is not a huge improvement compared to X3

All those listed features in the X4 is of minor importance for me. Slow mo here and slow mo 240, its mostly gimmicks that you will use once and then forget about. Only thing that is important for me and which is very hard to get a straight answer to is: Is it possible to export a frame from the 8K 360 sphere in true 4K quality? That is what I think most should be interested in. Imagina being able to always get a 4K quialite video that you can choose from the entire 360 sphere in the camera.

This would mean that you never need to aim youre camera, you could just shoot in 360 at all times and then just choose whatever 4K frame you want. X3 cant do this, im not sure X4 can either?! Maybe X5 in a year?

I hardly use mostly 4k videos in my go Pro so goin more than that in Insta360 I don't think I'd use anyways.

X3 to X4 difference is $100, and I think it would be smart to get the accessories

Great comparison! I sure wish Insta360 would update the X4 firmware to allow for AEB .DNG so I could use my X4 for virtual tours. I've been very impressed with its high resolution compared to my go-to virtual tour camera, the RS One 1 Inch.

if the user is into pro videography wether for personal or commercial, upgrading to x4 is worth considering...otherwise x3 or even x2 is good enough
