After you guys said you were going lower your electric bill so it was under $100, my husband and I looked at what we could do to lower our bill. The result was $95!!! Thanks for sharing the power of ONE tonight.

We had very high electricity bills 3 years ago and we installed solar panels- which has been worthwhile here in Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺

Just one one comment! A recipe for less meat worked really well last night. We took a can of turkey, a box of stuffing, a can of mushroom soup, and water and made dressing as our main dish. Had sweet potatoes and beans as side dishes. So good! Less meat. Easy to make. Thanksgiving was made easy. Who knew? One less turkey to make.

Since I bought my air fryer/toaster oven I haven't used my actual oven but I just use the stove top occasionally and my electric bill dropped drastically. Last month my electric bill was 36 dollars

Kroger has Stoffers & Lean Cuisine five for $10.00, they did this two weeks ago & gave me back a coupon good for $5.00 off next Kroger purchases. I bought eggs 18 for .99 cents, boiling them for egg salad. I also got $1.00 coupon to use on either of them.

I use this strategy when looking to cut my grocery spending. I shop as I normally do and when I'm finished, I total the cost of everything in my cart and then always put back ONE item (usually the most expensive item) before checking out!

I live in canada and read about a price fixing scheme done by a Bread company here in canada. The company was fined 50 million dollars for price fixing of bread products which had increased bread prices in grocery stores. 4 other companies are now under investigation for price fixing including walmart. They were artificially baking at least 1.50 into bread products. Upon hearing this I think I am going to start making bread at home instead of buying it. The fact that prices were increased from a scheme is disgraceful. Alot more people will start growing their own food and baking their own bread.

At the grocery store yesterday, I kept hearing you say just one less thing. I put many things back because of the price. Our total was good and better than expected. Going to freeze onions, green peppers, celery, carrots, mushrooms, and bread today. Noticed also that we go for the cheapest of most foods unless taste is not good. Green peppers cost less than colored ones and taste basically the same. Spent more on whole grain breads for health benefits. Treated ourselves to blackberries to make pie.

So, here's the problem-"delivery charges, etc." for utility and natural gas bills are non-negotiable. My natural gas bill that just came last week was just under $29. Gas stove and water heater only, as furnace was off. My TOTAL gas usage? $2.03. Same with utility bills-my usage is under half of what the actual bill is. You can only shut off/shut down so many things and the bills are still high.

We lowered our grocery bill by 150.00 a month by really shopping our pantry, freezer and fridge and meal planning. Then we lowered our electric bill by 100.00 only doing dishes, laundry, etc after 7:00 pm or on weekends only

I find that electricity is my thing i am always trying to reduce consumption on. Yesterday for he first time I used a homemade 'wonderbag', gifted to me by a friend. It's like a haybox. I wanted to make potato salad and hate that it takes 15+ minutes to cook the potatoes. Instead, I brought bite-sized pieces to a boil in my cast iron pot. It was then transferred to the 'wonderbag' and 45 minutes later, they were perfectly cooked. In the end, I used less electricity, didn't heat up the kitchen and didn't have a pot to watch. In the meantime, the Instant Pot had a curried cauliflower soup in it, and the crockpot was doing pulled pork. Small appliance/device cooking rocks and has so many added benefits in the summer!

I have tried doing my big groceries shop twice a month and just buy essentials such as milk, bread eggs etc ...when we need it.
I have cut down by 25% its a start as I am a shopaholic 😅.
Very greatful for all your tips.
