I’m 61 and workout regularly. My one style rule is to wear what looks good on my body. Ageism is stupid because anyone who promotes it, if they are lucky, will age too. So take care of yourself, age healthy, and wear what makes you look and feel good. Thanks for supporting women of all ages!

So glad to hear that women in their 50's and 60's responding to this video. I'm almost 60 and also workout regularly and love fashion. Glad to hear that other women my age are breaking the style rules.

You had me at "wear whatever you want" -- I turned 60 on New Years Eve. Most of my wardrobe consists of curated classic, timeless "investment" pieces, and my holy trinity of designer bags (Hermes, Chanel, Vuitton) are the icing on every classic outfit... but I'll also wear a backpack with equal conviction. And I definitely have fun rocking trends that break the Over 40 Rules! Stilettos, leopard ankle pants, mini skirts, moto jacket, jean jackets, white sneaks, leather leggings, combat boots, etc. -- age is just a number. The KEY is knowing what's appropriate for the destination/occasion and to dress accordingly. I believe if you have the confidence to style yourself in on-point fashion and glide into the room with confidence... you should. I'm petite at 5'4" size 0-2, and I work hard at keeping my figure, so why not! I am regularly complimented on my personal style because I follow a simple mantra which can apply at any age... "always dress like you're going someplace better later" -- Thanks for doing this vid Erin, I loved it! xx

Love it. Being 65 I get ticked by jealous women. Those that try telling me what to wear or not. When I'm with my 22 year old granddaughter and people think I'm her mom I'm happy

I’m the first to comment! This video is relevant and important because the older we get the more the media tries to ignore us. We are still beautiful, sexy, and fun. We are also smarter, wealthier, and more savvy. Thanks for reminding us.

I will be 50 in May. :) and I live in a small town in Georgia. I used to worry about what people would think ... I have gotten to the point where I wear what makes me happy! If I put it on and I feel joy...I wear it!
Loved this video!

*You can invest in Classic Expensive Clothing...IF you can stay the same size!!😉 Which I find difficult while going through Menopause.

Thankyou, I'm approaching 60, and I'm finally comfortable in my choice of clothing, and I really don't care what anyone thinks🤗💜

I know Iris Apfel personally. She is a fashion Icon to the point that 15 years ago her "wardrobe" was featured at the New York Museum of Art. It was an awesome exhibit. Her condo in Palm Beach is just as gorgeous as her clothes :).

So glad to hear this! I'm so very late late late late 40s and I'm wearing whatever makes me looks good and comfortable. My style is simple and elegance nothing too complicated or high maintenance.

I'm over 50 and I won't let anyone tell me what I can or can't wear. Whatever I feel good in I'll wear. Thanks for this video!xo

I live in an area with many "older" moms and fit women of all ages so I don't hear from my immediate community what I shouldn't wear at my age very often. But, it's certainly out there in the world and it's crazy. Reaching a "certain age" doesn't change who you are inside. My daughter-in-law doesn't care a thing about fashion and she's 26. She never will, it's who she is and I love her for being herself. I have always loved fashion and the connection between looking good and feeling good. I did at 7 and I do at 50. There are so many "rules" woman are supposed to follow....l try to just be who I am without apology. Your channel and viewers reinforce this for me every time I tune in, so thank you to all of you.

Hello Erin, after watching your videos for almost a year, my style has changed and I feel more confident wearing pieces that were, supposedly, not appropriate for my age. Now I like myself more and I get a lot of compliments. I wear pointed shoes, sneakers, moto jackets, cold shoulder, skinny jeans, leather, etc. BTW, I'm 68!

Brought a tear to my eye when you said you will pass down your Chanel to your daughter, such a lovely thing to do.

Wear what makes you feel amazing!
The feeling i used to have, watching your videos made me realize that i did leave it behind for 5 years now.
Your videos did inspire me to bring back the person i used to be.
After all, elegance is an attitude.

I refuse to disappear and at 60 I still love fashion. My current fav is a full length neon yellow/green winter coat. One of my favorite 20 something bartenders said to me Friday night “now that’s how you rock neon”. I found a camel sweater with little neon accents on it then jeans & booties. I really don’t like the short shirts/sweaters & can’t wait for them to go away!

Thank you for giving me permission to where what i want. I live in a rural area where we dress for function and comfort, i.e. jeans and thermals, winter woredrobe, but i do work in an office so i can dress a little better. In winter i like to break out long skirts and knee high boots or higher ankle booties. But i do get some raised eyebrows with some of my pieces. They are not extra... just not what the majority of what females wear here. I am going to continue to do me.

I love that you were saying this, I completely agree 100%! No matter what your age, wearing what you're comfortable in and believing you look great is most important. Just because someone is young enough for a certain look doesn't mean they can pull it off.

I agree with you, Miss Erin ... And with a comment made by Amanda Wayman.... If you're able to wear a style, and it's comfortable, do so ! I could wear a mini skirt up until I was 57 .. I might wear one ocasdionally, now ... But I worked out, had nice legs and could pull it off. Thanks for encouraging women to have ' fun " in thier choices of style while still wearing flattering clothing. I have a few ' cold shoulder ' tops, I love those. .. for times I'm wanting to dress fun but still look good. Leather Moto jacket, in several colours. Fringed clothing ( the NICE fringe) and fringed jackets. I love my fringed clothing! Even being over 60, I want to look stylish, but still not look like " I'm trying too hard to be 40 something", lol. Thank you Miss Erin, we love you!!
