Well, you are forgetting the easiest way to disable LKA: Hold the button on the steering wheel for 5 seconds and it's disabled. The button is the one under your up/down and ok button.

Is this for PERMANENT disabeling the system?! I am always using the procedure as mentioned by 10mbc but would prefer to have a permanent solution / disabeling :-) Greetings from Germany

So mine is always white. Assume this means it’s NOT detecting lines most of the time. Is this correct?
Only very occasionally goes it turn green and for only a moment.
