Riders, there's a mistake in the Noise Isolation graph at 3:39, where Shark is listed twice and Scorpion is missing. In this segment, Shark earned three stars, so they stay at the bottom. But Scorpion Actually earned four stars and ties with Shoei and LS2. Anyways, thanks for the feedback so far 💪

I’m blessed to say that I have 5 of the brands listed in this video. HJC, SHOEI, Arai, Scorpion and SHARK. I love all of them but not equally. My Arai is noisy and heavy as mentioned! My Scorpion can turn into an oven in the summer, which is why it’s my colder weather choice. All of the others I have absolutely no complaints about! I haven’t yet purchased an AGV because I refuse to sell a kidney in order to get one here in America! There’s 2 lower end brands I own that weren’t mentioned and they are awesome in my opinion. The MT and the Nolan brands are helmets that should get some attention in my opinion. Thank you so much for this outstanding video! 👏 👍🇺🇸

BTW my current helmet for the past 6 years was the budget HJC modular ($250) and I've been very pleased with it. Getting an RPHA91 next.

Bought the HJC RPHA91 as a result of a previous vid on this channel, also have a Scorpion EXO for the flip over function when on my scooter which has a better screen than the bike. Great comparison as always.

Got an hjc rpha 70 for 6 months and it is an amazing helmet. Confortable, designed for intercom, interior sun glasses, pinlock ready visor and pinlock included in the box, double ring fixing, lots of vents

My most recent helmet purchase was an HJC. I was looking for a quiet helmet. The fact that it color matches my KTM is an added plus.

As a beginner looking for data-driven analysis this is amazing content and I wish you guys alot of success. With that said, I would suggest not ranking brands on average values across the board. This can misrepresent how well each brands helmets do against others of the same type and price point. Instead, comparing like-for-like helmets (ex. full face between 150 and 300 euros) against each other, ranking them and then showing the brands average ranking would provide a fairer (and, for us, more informative) view. Again, love what you´re doing, please keep it up.

Totally agree with the designation, HJC is awesome not only with simple things like the graphics but also with every aspect you mentioned. I recently bought the Rpha 71 and it is amazing, even if I put my earplugs the noise, which is one of the main aspects, is minimum. The vents really like it, especially on hot days wow, the comfort, I have to tell you everything this brand is great. I also used AGV, Shoei, and LS2, so I know a little. Regards from Costa Rica.

Curious: compared to the expensive top, of the range lids, how do the6 compare to budget lids if crashes tested at 10% lower speeds.
Is it safer to ride slower or choose to ride faster with a more expensive helmet?
Where should you hang your safety?
With hi tech, or careful riding?

Should have added build quality as well, as that is a big factor with buying helmets as well. The hinge of a Shoei and Arai leagues above that of LS2 for example, and quality of finish, different types of roaming ect also matters on top of the criteria in the current tests

You didn't do Bell at all? I mean comon. We've seen Travis Pastrana crash in those things and have a safe dome for how many years now?

I have the Shoei GT Air 2, best helmet I've owned thus far(all around).

I've only been riding for five years and have only owned two helmets, both by brands on this list.

My first helmet was the Scorpion EXO AT-950, which, even as a first helmet, was terrible. It was heavy, noisy, aerodynamically terrible and had more than one QA issue that the company brushed off - told me to fix it myself or go without a helmet for four months/almost the entirety of the riding season here. I won't buy a Scorpion helmet again because of that experience.

The helmet that replaced the Scorpion, and with which I have been very happy (mostly), is the Shoei RF-1400. It's significantly more refined, quiet, comfortable and high-quality. The only think I dislike about the Shoei is the shield mechanism which is terrible to use when trying to change out a smoke for clear or vice-versa.

My experience with the RF-1400 had me going to an X-15 next, that is until Alpinestars released their Supertech R10 for $200 less than the Shoei X-15 (in my country, anyway).
