I have my Fuji XT3 camera and we venture up towards Gokyo before crossing the Cho-La pass towards Everest Basecamp. Join me as I share the first 5 days of this photography hiking adventure through some of the most challenging terrain I have ever hiked in.

I went to Katmandu in 2001 in my early 20's as part of a round the world trip. I remember walking out of the airport doors scared as I've never been to a place like it. After three days I fell in love with Katmandu and Nepal and even now when I think about the place I have a smile on my face.

You created a video that would take a production crew of 10 people to achieve in TV land . Utterly amazing . Brilliant video . Your best ever . Merry Christmas

Thomas: Neeh, there is nothing to photograph here.
Me: I'll overload my SD card of random shots of everything.

Sorry for you because of the altitude sickness thing…. But I think, it is still one of your best vlogs. Amazing, how did you manage to film this all while hiking quite hard … We really appreciate and love your work.

Nepal has sure changed since I was there - I can't believe how large Namche Bazaar and the other towns in the Khumbu region have grown. Back then, the Lukla airstrip was just a grassy field full of boulders...

Only just found this. Did that trip 14 years ago. Experience of a life time. After Gokyo we entered Khumu via the Cho La and the glacier. This brings back wonderful memories. Looking back at my own photographs in a new light!

My dear Thomas, before even watching a second, I liked the video, put my headphones, made the resolution to 1080p and now I can enjoy it. ❤❤

Sorry for the late comment and watch, I was waiting for this second since 4 hours, now after my kids are sleeping I'm here for watching it 😅

Honestly, so far the most exciting content you've released. I've loved a lot of your other stuff but this is very inspiring!

Thomas, you are one of the first landscape photograph influencers I have subscribed on YouTube and you just made my day with this video and increase my urge to visit nepal and do EBC and annapurna trek. I am also a trekker and travel cinematographer and vlogger, my love for mountains is immense that I can't stay long in plains long. I always want to go mountains and experience the nature, the people the drama over there. I would like to share my photographs and videos with you once. I know you are super busy with your stuff but it will be great to share my thought and work with like minded people. Thank you, love from India

I'm sure it's already been said by many, but I think this is some of your best work. Thoughtful, deliberate, well-produced. I was enthralled by the journey and felt included, and that's a difficult thing to achieve. Very much looking forward to your next video. Thanks Thomas!

I think you had a bit to high expectations. There is loads to work with if you just forget the fact that you are among the grandest landscapes in the world. It is so big and beautiful that it is actually getting hard to capture it and focus on the small details that exist everywhere like small streams, weird pines and bamboo forests... Awsome video as always....
