The Short Side Plank with Clamshells is a core stability pattern exercise that is a variant of the side plank.

PRIMARY MUSCLES WORKED: Obliques, Glutes

EXERCISE TECHNIQUE CUES: In short side plank position, perform a clamshell by rotating the upper knee open while elevating the hips. Think about pushing through bottom leg as you open the hips.
