The beginner box is a great tutorial adventure. Specifically designed to introduce one game mechanic at a time.

Get the beginner box. It has trimmed down rules and is designed to teach GM and players how to play

The beginner box is another great place to start! Be ok with rules flubs. Check questions between sessions. Pathfinder 2e is a lot of fun, don’t let the intense size of the core book turn you off. You really don’t need to know most of it (I don’t care what the 10th level champion feats are if I’m not playing as or with a champion). Particularly not at the begging.

I'd also recommend the Beginner Box. It's amazing

We started PF2e couple months coming from 5e, we really enjoy it. Started out small of course with a semi-sandbox in a total homebrew world, own pantheon, reflavoring races 😅. Because I hate myself and want to make things as hard as possible for myself as dungeon master. But everyone is having a blast so far, and I only barely killed them in the first dungeon 😂

As other said, Beginner's box is probably superior to begins, especially if you're only 2.

I just got a Legacy bundle on Humble Bundle for less than 25 EUR on 25 Pathfinder 2E books (GM Guide, Core Rules, Beginner Box, Bestiary, One-Shot, and a few adventures). Looking forward to giving this a shot with some friends looking to get into some regular RPGing.

That is cool. I just watched a video about how to play Pathfinder. It is actually not that bad. DND 5E was the first time I played a TTRPG. I struggled with the rules and calculations. However I did eventually learn the basics. When I watched the video on Pathfinder, I find that the basics are the same as DND 5E. It is an easy game to figure out with prior experience. One game I am interested in is DND 4E. I even acquired the three old players handbooks. There are more handbooks to give more race and class options. 4E does have a lot of backlash from the DND fandom. However even that has the same basic rules as 5E. The basic framework is the same for both versions of DND as well as Pathfinder. It is just the minor details that are different. Those are the details that are more likely to be looked up in guidebooks anyway. There is a trend of players moving from DND to Pathfinder due to the licensing scandal. Those guys are going to have an easy time picking up Pathfinder and jumping into the action.

you could also pick up an old d&d adventure from 3.5 or back and jerry rig it to fit 2e

I was just lucky enough to win the pathfinder beginner box in a raffle at a local game store, looking forward to playing.

I've heard good things about the starter kit

Begginers Box is one of the best begginers boxes. It even includes pawns

Grand advice as always. I homebrew everything. Players learn as we go. I don't even have (or need) everything written out. Just play people. RAW in any system is just a guideline.

Feels so weird that you’re still called DM Lair and the dragon is looking at me while you talk. I know dragons aren’t only 5e, but it seems that way from marketing.

I'm a new player surrounded by close minded friends who shut down my theory builds. Any way my Idea is multi classing Barbarian with kinetics so I can rage and do elemental blast as well as keep my aura up....how would you pull it off

Don't get the rule books it's a needles cost especially if you don't know you'll like the system.

Pizo isn't wizards all the rules are free and it's much easier to look things up on AoN
