as someone who made a few characters, it's quite surprising how many steps there are, as it mostly feel like: ABC and then equipment (good I mostly use Pathbuilder, so it's a bit easier xD)

Getting back into Pathfinder after playing 5e for a few years, and these videos have been very helpful. Just FIY melee is pronounced as may-lay. Its french originally : mêlée and still pronounced that way, just like déjà vu.

I know it's more balanced & fare but I still like Rolling for stats. I generally roll amazing & stat wise set the curve in my 5e games. It's freakish. I have some luck for Rolling stats. It's a weird thing to be lucky for I'd rather win the lotto but ya take what ya get. Maybe I should try craps?

finding this would've been useful a month ago, i'm starting a pathfinder campaign in two hours and going in mostly blind 😭

So proficiency adds your level if its above the untrained and flat modifier of +2/4/6/8 depending on your grade of proficiency, which is why +3/5/7/9 while being technically correct example it are still not entirely good one.

One small thing got me confused: doesn’t the proficiency bonus follow the 0, +2, +4 increments? Or do you also add the character level (1) there?
