In Canada we have Pouding Chômeur, which is often called Poor Man's Pudding, which is a heavy scone or biscuit like dough drenched in maple sauce. Served warm, it's the most comforting food ever. We also have Beaver Tails that are large fried dough topped with sugar or other sweet sauces or syrups. We also have Nanaimo Bars, a no bake layer dessert of Graham cracker, coconut and chocolate base, topped with custard and finished with a layer of semi sweet chocolate. In India we have lots of deserts I don't think anyone knows all of them.
But some of the very famous deserts are:-

I find these deserts mouth watering, however I notice British Deserts lack the sophisticated and elegant execution you find in French desserts. It feels like they are more direct and practical rather than worry about presentation. Would that be an accurate assessment? Not trying to put down British deserts, btw.
