I am a Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video I will tell you what happened on the one hundred and eleventh day of the war.
Day 111: June 14
In the Kharkiv region, things continue to develop. Today the Ukrainians restored the bridge across the river Siverskyi Donets in Chuhuiv. This means that the Ukrainians can now relocate a lot of troops very quickly in that part of the region. As you can see, they already have a good bridgehead by controlling several settlements on that side of the river. Some sources reported that the Ukrainians also increased the number of troops around Pervomaiskyi. Given that the town of Balakliia is a very important town for the Russians, this seems to suggest that the Ukrainians are preparing an attack in this direction. This is also in line with the fact that the Russians started to focus more on the Staryi Saltiv direction. One objective is obviously to prevent further establishment of the bridgehead to the east of Staryi Saltiv, but the second and probably even more important objective is to assault the major Ukrainian stronghold – Chihuiv – from which a massive attack can be launched on Balakliia, and regardless of whether successful, can disrupt the Russian operations in the Izyum direction.
In the north-east, the Russians continue to push the Ukrainians from the north. The fights in Bohorodycnhe are still taking place, the Ukrainians have not retreated yet and there is no certainty that they will fully abandon thin village without a fights. As the fights in this area have been going on for around a month, this village became more fortified than others, so by holding the defense here for as long as long as possible, they ensure that the Russians suffer as many casualties as possible, and as you remember, this is becoming a problem for them, as they are faced with the shortage of hospitals. When it comes to the Dolyna direction, today I got the information that the Russians are actually clearing the forestall area to the west of Krasnopillia. The General Staff of the Armed forces of Ukraine has also reported that the Russians are moving their artillery from Izyum down to Vinopillia and nearby villages in order to shell this region from more directions at once. In the Lyman direction the Ukrainian General Staff reported that the Russians are preparing to attack Slovians from that side. Overall, we can see that the battle for Slovianks has almost began and we can expect it to start from a heavy shelling very-very soon.
In the east, the attacks from multiple directions continue. The Russian forces are gaining more and more ground in Sieverodonetsk. Some sources suggest that the Ukrainians control half of the industrial zone. It was also reported that they are trying to retreat to Lysyschansk, however, given that the passages over the local river are destroyed, this is not a simple task. Some sources say that the Ukrainians are also still holding the town of Borivske. Given the situation in Sieverodonetsk, they can only retreat by going west. Over the last several weeks they were able to evacuate the heaviest equipment from here, so that everything else could be left. In the southern part of this region, the Russians are preparing for another wave of attacks. Some sources report that the Russians were gathering intelligence about the village of Novoivanivka. As the Russians have already conducted a flank attack on Vrubivka once, it is possible that they established their positions closer to the road Vrubivka-Hirske. Given that the Ukrainians in Vrubivka are strongly resisting the enemy, the Russians may try to limit the amount of resources supplied by cutting them of Hirske. As you remember, the Russians have recently resumed their attacks on Zolote because some of the Ukrainians troops have possibly been relocated to Vrubivka. Taking control over the road Vrubivka-Hirske will give the Russians greater control over the situation on the ground and will impede the adjustments that the Ukrainians might want to make.
