Hey what's the go with YOUTUBE not putting you over the top of 100k yet???!!!! There's no way people are not going to see Dr Rics face melting blues set at Guitcon and not beat the door down to sign up. C'mon people share this one round to as many folks as you can!!!

My Strat & Fender amps seem to love any and all Maxon pedals.

They all sound great, but the 2 standouts for me are the Pride of Texas and the Ponyboy pedals. Maybe because they're the lest TS clone sounding of the bunch, but I hear more note articulation and distinctive tone form those two. Great demo, as always, Shane!

Man, those are all killer tones! That Royal Flush is a ripper.

Awesome playing! The lick at about 8:55 was smoking! My two favorites were the pride of Texas and the riff raff.

The PONYBOY hands down for me! Thank for this - I've been looking to buy an OD pedal.

As primarily a single-coil guy this video is right up my street. I'm always on the look out for new sounds. My current single-coil pedal board consists of: TritonLab Labyrinth --> DOD Gonkulator (set as a boost) --> TrueTone Garage Tone Axle Grease delay --> Vick Audio '73 Rams Head BM fuzz --> VFE Old School Tremolo --> Carl Martin HeadRoom spring reverb.

Shane, you should try a TC Electronic Spark Boost with a Strat. It has a fat boost which works well with the bridge pickup. There are also mid boost and clean boost options.

Hey thanks! You basically used my guitar and amp exactly the way I use them and tried out some overdrives I’ve been thinking about.

Man, the Pride of Texas could easily pop through the mix. Searing, dirty tone! As usual Shane; you’re playing is great for the ears! Cheers dude.

Thanks for the heads up, I need at least two of those! Killer tones Shane! Very nice playing. That strat sounds amazing. Don't let that one go!

2:25 sounds very very close to the tone in Immortality by Pearl Jam.. to my ears

The Pride of Texas has become the centerpiece of my tone. I like to use the neck pickup of my tele with with the pedal at a moderate gain and decently high treble into a slightly driven Tweed blues junior. Danelectro really knocked it out of the park with that one

Great review, to me the 3 best we’re the 808, such a classic tone, the pony boy is a very close second, I like the control you get w that pedal, and the Pride of Texas is a great sounding box, I like the fact you used the DSL, I love the HRD but the Marshall has such great tone and all of those pedals really accentuate its sonic quality, excellent choice of the Texas heat speaker as well, Everything combined really brought out some great sounds from that Strat

Definitely need a TS with a strat in front of a Fender amp to shape that mid focus required to stand out in the mix. Getting an attenuator so I could actually use the overdrive in my Deluxe was a revelation. I'm convinced most FHRD owners have not even played its full breakup range given the volume required is so prohibitive. Highly recommend selling a pedal and trying one if you haven't out there. (note: Two Notes Captor is only $220 USD and there are similar affordable choices like it)
