It’s too close for guns. I’m switching to knives.

Rules of Engagement. No side wants to be the one who starts the war. So they are following the engagement rules.

I've been watching videos comparing the two forces (the Turks and the greeks) for a couple of days now. What's amazing is that in the comment section of those videos the most liked and commented comment always is the one that Greek expressing respect and love for the Turks or a Turk expressing love and respect for the greeks and trash-talking about the politicians of both countries.

Thanks for the review. Was looking forward to your take on this. I think both air forces agreed to fly on SIM mode for some time. I know for a while both parties agreed to disarm their patrol flights but that might be a thing of the past now.

I'd think "SIM" mode would be an extra layer of safety to prevent an international incident. When you're not engaged in hostilities with any other countries, and you see a handful of aircraft coming toward you, it's almost certainly going to be just a probe of your defenses or diplomatic-directed show of aggression with no intent to actually engage (e.g. what US and Russia do a lot). It's also why they never pulled the trigger, another layer of safety (but in case they did out of instinct, SIM mode would still prevent anything).

In TurAF terminology the term "Long" (Uzun) means Long Range AA missile and "Short" (Kısa) is for Short Range AA missile. So Hellenic Viper is armed with 2 AIM-120 and 2 AIM-9 according to Turkish pilot...

Real or not it’s always nice to hear a professional point of view and not the usual bs from people who have only seen fighters in films

American airplane vs American airplane..Who is the winner?Americans. Why?They give airplanes to some countries and they laugh because these airplanes fight each other.

The Greek vipers went to Cyprus undetected and in their return flight to Crete the Turkish vipers that were searching for them were intercepted by other Greek vipers from Crete. One of the Turkish viper returned due to fuel shortage..The cut of scenes and the fact that vipers with CFT exist also in tuaf it is a video with Turkish f-16 that train eachother...

Almost every day this type of so called dog fights happen between TUAF and HAF. Always videos will be released like this in one side and then the other. On defensive side pilots doesnt want to make too much agressive manuevers just in case it can get too hot too quickly. Same as offensive side, thats why they are in sim mode ı think. Its just daily routine for them imo. More interesting thing is except for the extreme nationalists both Turkish and Greek people actually getting along no problem. Its the conflict between ruling goverments not the people.

When I'd been in Dikili/ Izmir on last summer, I eyewitnessed dog fight. Two country occasionally do this at the Egea Sea. I think it is a military exercise for both side.

As Turks we have no problem with Greek people. They re our neighbour. Wish we could get along better but politicians never stop fighting. How sad....
