Ok, so as a soldier who was in Syria at this time. Drone strikes became a very evident thing to us. And we were allies with a Syrian group that was getting bombed by, you guessed it, Turkish drones. So when we found a Turkish drone in our airspace, we had a base go into their bunkers because it was flying in our Area of operations. It might have been friendly fire but that area is our occupation, we work there and that means a drone with the capabilities to send explosive ordinance would be a "potential threat". Seeing as that same base took drone strikes quite often.

A lot of you desktop warriors don't realize but let me reiterate for you. turkey doesn't like that we are allies with the Kurdish people, turkey hates the kurds and would by all means try to kill a great amount of them because kurds don't have their own land, and if they were to take land. It would make it's way into turkey and Syria.

So of course we had some bad relations with turkey.
