Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Dogtrack Bill's Tips for Maximizing Euro Jackpot Winning.

Welcome to another video from MrExcel! Today, we have a special topic for all the lottery enthusiasts out there. We will be discussing a secret formula that can help you maximize your winnings in the Euro Jackpot lottery. This formula was requested by one of our viewers, Markus, who wanted to know how to select the winning combination of numbers in the Euro Jackpot 5/50 game. So, if you're tired of just matching a few numbers and want to increase your chances of winning big, then this video is for you.

Before we dive into the formula, I want to mention that I will be using some of the latest formulas released in Microsoft 365. So, if you're using an older version of Excel, this may not work for you. To test if your Excel version is compatible, try entering the formula =VSTACK(1,2) in cell A1. If you get the result as one and two, then you're good to go. But if you get a #NAME? error, then unfortunately, this formula won't work for you.

Also, if you're interested in lottery theory, I highly recommend watching the movie "Jerry & Marge Go Large" starring Bryan Cranston. It's a true story about a mathematician who discovered an anomaly in the state lottery and won big.

Now, let's get back to the Euro Jackpot lottery. This means that the prize pool is divided among all the players who have the winning combination of numbers. So, the more people who have the same numbers as you, the smaller your share of the prize pool will be. In one drawing, six people matched five numbers and won 149,000 euros each. But in another drawing, only two people matched and won 363,000 euros each. And in a third drawing, 11 people matched and won only 110,000 euros each.

One of the biggest mistakes people make when choosing their numbers is picking dates that are significant to them, such as birthdays or anniversaries. This may seem like a good idea, but it actually decreases your chances of winning big. This is because a lot of people tend to choose dates, which means that the numbers are concentrated in a small range. For example, if you choose numbers 1, 6, 16, 17, and 23, you're limiting yourself to only 5.2% of the possible combinations. This is a huge disadvantage when you consider that there are over 2 million possible combinations in the Euro Jackpot 5/50 game.

I have come up with a formula that will help you choose a more diverse set of numbers. This formula selects three numbers from 1 to 25 and two numbers from 26 to 50, ensuring that you have a mix of low and high numbers. Additionally, it also checks if you have two or three odd numbers and two or three even numbers, as this pattern has historically been present in 62% of the drawings. By using this formula, you will move away from the densely populated area of numbers and increasing your chances of winning big.

Remember, every combination of numbers has an equal chance of winning, so don't limit yourself to just dates or patterns. And if you do end up winning big using this formula, don't forget to buy me lunch as a thank you! I hope you found this video helpful, and if you did, don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to our channel for more Excel tips and tricks. Thank you for watching, and I'll see you in the next video.

Hi Mr Excel, top work, thank you!
Any chance to edit the Lucky Stars no. picks from 1 to 12 (instead of current 1 to 10)?

Great challenge!!
A lambda to extract all combinations that follow the conditions, out of a random array sample of "n" rows.
If n omitted => n=100
EJCKPT([n])=
=LAMBDA([n],
LET(
r, IF(n, n, 100),
m, MAP(
SEQUENCE(r),
LAMBDA(z,
LET(
x, SORT(TAKE(SORTBY(SEQUENCE(50), RANDARRAY(50)), 5)),
a, INDEX(x, 3) < 27,
b, INDEX(x, 4) > 26,
c, SUM(--ISODD(+x)),
d, OR(c = 2, c = 3),
e, MAX(x) > 31,
IF(a * b * d * e, TEXTJOIN("|", , x), 0)
)
)
),
SORT(FILTER(m, m <> 0))
)
)
We can call:
=EJCKPT()
=EJCKPT(1000)

I have a question, 🤔
If someone win the lottery, and have a wife or husband, what is the rule, do they have to give half to their partner or not ?!!
