I just want to reiterate because I feel like a lot of people aren't getting the point. This was NOT meant to be a "hate" video or a video to be negative for negativity's sake.

The Sims 2 is literally my favourite game and I know a lot of my audience feels the same way. I care about my audience, so I will be honest and ask them to save their money when I believe it's warranted. I WANT this version of The Sims 2 to work. I can LOVE The Sims and also inform the people who support me when I believe they might not get what they asked for. Like, 90% of my videos are me playing The Sims and making jokes. This is not and has NEVER been a hate channel?? Lol??

"is a 20yo game, what do you expect?", uhm to work, literally they just "fixed" nothing, they managed to broke the entire game just to get some money back from it, the community fixed the game FOR FREE all this years that EA abandoned it literally, and now they re-release it just to profit, they probably didn't even tested it before launching it, and people says "you know they always bring broken things but they fixed them very fast" that's a f*cked up mindset, they shouldn't be releasing broken things in the first place, players should not tolerate that behavior

Conspiracy theory: EA broke the sims 2 on purpose and re-released it in order to say "see? Old games don't work, give up and come to the sims 4!"

Did the original Sims 2 have corruption, bugs, etc? Yes! Of course! Some even were game breaking (eventually). But to rerelease and CHARGE FOR IT and have it work worse than a yar me matey version is insanity.

I fucking hate the argument of "It's an old game It's gonna break" because that doesn't apply here. It's a re-release, it should have been optimized for modern consoles. And besides, I own 20 yo games that run better than modern titles. No excuses, folks need to stop licking the boots of corporations who do not care about them.

E X A C T L Y, that’s make me think that they only put sims 1 and 2 just for that, money. If they just wanted to give the game like that… Why didn’t release a free version? The pirated version of ultimate colection work thanks to moders and programmers who make possible play the game in moderns pc and that make me think that EA said “Okay let’s sell sims 2 again! The community will make something to run the game perfectly right? What? That’s should be OUR work? How dare you to said something like that?! We gave you a sims 4 free kit so shut up and go play sims 4 I MEAN- sims 2”

Just a PSA, EA is in trouble - their stock price had a huge drop the other day because DA:V didnt do as well as expected, AND their sports games are struggling. Their shitty business practices are finally biting them in the ass, so its suspicious to me that they chose now to rerelease TS2 - and charge for it, AND not put any real effort into fixing it. ☠️ to kill it faster.
