Why did the Trandoshan species in Star Wars worship and inspire to become hunters? At the end of season 3 of the Clone Wars series, we see Trandoshens hunting for sport as they kill living beings including a group of Jedi younglings as well as Ahsoka as they try to run for their lives.

Trandoshans think they're the best hunters until they hear a clicking sound from behind and see a pair of flashing yellow eyes when they turn around.

They don't just hunt anything though. They believed the most points came from hunting stronger opponents. Weaker opponents were sometimes seen as little to no points and If their enemy was extremely weaker it could even be taken as negative points.

Emphasis on honourable kills. In the ark at the end of S3 of the clone wars they capture beings stronger than them, take away their abilities and any chance of fighting back and hunt them. That's one of the least honourable way of killing I can think of
