Finally there is someone out there (me) to display the coronation with the British National Anthem without the commentary, This video is about Her Majesty The Queen and her Coronation, This has set to be the very first official version of "God Save The Queen" as The Queen leaves her throne and exits the sanctuary of Westminster Abbey. This video was taken place Westminster Abbey, London, England, United Kingdom at 6 of June, 1953. To officially initiate the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II & His Royal Highness Prince Philip.

I bet it was awkward for them to be singing God Save the Queen just as much as it is awkward and new for us to say God Save the King now.

She was only 26 when she took the throne. Her father was just 56 when he died.
Whenever I watch this, I always think, "She must be thinking about her father who she adored.

What an incredible reign - a whole era is named after her. Everybody who put trust in her was right: 70 years ago as well as in 2022. She has done her duty until the very end - Rest in Peace, Your Majesty!

There will never be another Queen as great as she has been the last 70 years, but she will remain in our hearts for eternity. May she Rest in Peace with her Strength and Stay of 73 glorious years. God Save the Queen!!!

One of the rules agreed to by the BBC was that there would be no close ups of the Queen. But as the music played and she moved forward into the cameraman, he didn't pull back. There was another official in the broadcast booth with a cutoff switch but he didn't react either.

Both were just so overcome with the moment, and how incredible she looked, they couldn't bear to act

Who knew at that moment that ‚long may she reign’ would turn into 70 years?

What I find particularly touching is as Her Majesty reaches the Royal Box, she allows herself a very brief glance at her mother. Can't imagine the emotions both Queens Elizabeth were feeling at that moment. No doubt the late King was in their hearts and minds.

The brass instruments entering at 1:38 is just unspeakably majestic, especially when the trumpets rise above the melody at 1:47 .

Tbh I preferred this version so much than the one with Charles. The pure stripped-down acapella of the first verse then suddenly builds up truly makes this version so spectacular.

Just majestic. I love the jewels glistening near the end. First televised coronation. RIP, from America, ...beautiful Christian lady. I wish you could've stayed even a bit longer, though we all must go.
