That’s a steal here in America, one meal that looks that good is as cheap as $40

That's a normal price in Nepal right now due to inflation. People who tells U got scam is either haven't been to Nepal for ages or think Nepal is still living in 1990's.

As a Local of kathmandu, I have been paying the same price, so for a tourist you have been lucky to only pay that much.

People who think you overpaid are probably Indians thinking these prices are in Indian rupees

I don't mind "overpaying" when travelling to countries like this because it's still cheap af and I don't mind paying more than locals to support their livelihoods. Feels kind of silly bargaining over a few cents.

I dont get how is this overpriced?? Me a Nepali living in Kathmandu Valley we pay the same price while eating in restaurants and cafes. If you want something cheaper you can go for the local shops. The rent of shops are also pretty high.Kathmandu valley is slightly expensive compared to other places.

It's completely normal lol ... Locals do pay similar price

Honestly, most of these are pretty normal prices for Kathmandu. It all depends on where you are and the type of places you're buying from, but it is quite okay for Kathmandu and other cities here.

Honestly. People over there do work hard and suffer. You're better off paying those prices and tipping rather than these rip of franchises here. I'm sure you blessed them so much to feed their own family. People forget that.

If 23 bucks is overpriced for that big of a meal, America’s got some explaining to do

Fun fact:
You can like comments by double-tapping them and by triple-tapping them, you go to the replys

The only thing most foreigners forget, is to ask a local for suggestions before exploring anything.
This is where "Scam" comes in the picture ✌️

You can't say you got scammed after you've seen the prices printed on the menu 😂. Premium establishments WILL charge you premium for the food, and i think that's common anywhere in the world.

If you can afford to travel, you can definetly pay to give those workers a little extra. If you’ve ever been in Asia then u know these people struggle

Few items are overpriced. But it depends on the location and hotels here. It's same for nepali people as well. So we used to choose affordable hotel and restaurants.

It’s not overpriced. It’s similar for local people as well.

Except for 1st two(yes, a little expensive but depends on where you eat.) others were completely normal. SCAMMED with caps on is not necessary dude! We can get puri-tarkari for RS 20 to RS 2000. MOMO for RS 60 - RS 350 ...

Nah you in Katmandu people from other states are just saying it expensive because they don't know the rent prices for the shop it like 80000 rs after negotiating properly
