I have tried 3 moisturizers before and every time I use them the next day after my skin is incredibly dry, what??

1. If you take a hot shower, make sure you use moisturizing soap, I like to mix Aveeno eczema therapy and dove cucumber, and moisturize immediately upon dry off

2. Keep your nails cut short and make sure they’re washed constantly, the nails are the dirtiest place, keeping them short and clean reduces skin damage on the urge to scratch

3. Stay moisturized, if not you will be at risk for cuts and shedding flakes, if you shed flakes, clean area up

4. Use a butter knife or metal salad fork to scratch, as they are objects easy to clean

Mango butter (in a creme) helps with the itch. It actually stops my eczema from itching.

I have always liked lukewarm showers, and borderline cold ones on hot summer days. I have dishydrotic eczema so the faster the shower, the better. Any moisturizer with a lot of ceramides, and colloidal oatmeal are my best friend, as well as aquaphor on the most broken places. My doctor also prescribed me a Clobetosol steroid ointment that has saved me from many painful, tear-filled nights. The ointments are better than creams because they stick to your skin for a longer period of time. Not flattering or makeup friendly on the face, but I’ll take an eczema free face over glam any day… as much a I am obsessed with glam lol 😂

Yes, louder for the people in the back on using lukewarm water, lol. I've heard this from a number of derms and people still insist on hot water. Also, moisturizer applied to damp skin is a good tip as well.

What happens with me, when I put my face in cold water, usually if I don't take a shower, just my face, it get dry an tight. So I have face lotion because my skin I very dry! I also have dandruff. My hair is pretty thin but it's definitely not as thin as it used to be! ❤❤❤

Hello. I only have problems while outside (walking, running or any form of exercise) that’s why I don’t really go out cause I can’t risk it, I don’t know why. cause my skin is always hydrated I can’t go a day without applying crème. I’ve seen doctors Buh they basically prescribed me the same crème (glycérol), at first it works Buh then the itching came back. I sometimes go to the pharmacy to get counseled Buh they prescribed me with la roche posay, Bioderma and so on Buh no results It’s been almost 7years ever since I arrived in France, i never had something like this back home in Nigeria I do have a fine skin no bumps, rashes nor any kind, I think the itching comes from the inside like an allergy or something idk. I would really love to get rid of this cause I do miss a lot my mate go out for activities (fun)while I just have to sit home it’s really disturbing.
Thank you 🙏🏾

Cream with urea is not good for me neither are the ones with vaseline or paraffin : all of them trigger the itchiness. I would recommend to avoid them and find an organic moisturizer!
