I love Rhod Gilbert at times like this. He's a great comedian, but on this type of panel show he's great because when he realises there's a teeny-tiny stupid thing that he can use to irritate someone ("Isn't winter one and a half hours long?""Stop saying it, " replied Sandi, sobbing.) he carries it on, but doesn't go as far as to wear it out. He takes it far enough to murder the people involved, but not far enough that the audience want to murder him.

I love this. When ALAN gets frustrated and starts yelling, you know you're in the presence of a master.

Having come back to watch this video a couple of years later, I just realized the joke Alan made about Rhod coming from Scotland, because Rhod was getting countries confused.

While I think a lot of that is Rhod playing it for laughs, the bit where he says "It's true, I've been there" to someone who was BORN in Denmark, reminds me so much of when I worked in a family-run shop, although I wasn't related to the family.

One day a woman came in and I said to her "Can I help you?" to which she replied "No, it's okay I want to speak to your father." I said "That's fine, but he isn't my father." She quite seriously replied "Yes, he is! I remember you when you were little and he'd bring you into the shop." Pardon?!

And the thing was, the boss did have two young boys, who were still not much older than toddlers then, so the woman's idea of time passing must have been very warped.
