How much do I get paid? Isn't that a taboo topic ? Well, I am going to be open & honest with you about my pay as well as a few financial tips that can hopefully help you.

Whether you are a soon-to-be-teacher, a veteran teacher or just your average Joe/Jane, I hope this video brings to light some of the mystery behind teacher pay!

1. What state (or country) do you live in?
2. How many people live in your household?
3. Are you a single or double income household?
4. Do you own or rent?
5. What is your highest level of education? Does you education level affect your pay?
6. How much did it cost you to attain your degree(s)? Are you still paying for your education?
7. How is your salary schedule structured (starting point, max out salary, annual increases, etc.)
8. Where are you on your district's salary schedule?
9. Do you supplement your income in any way? If so, how?
10. How much money does your district give your for supplies at the beginning of the year? Do they provide basic supplies throughout the school year?
11. Do you have additional deductions taken from your paycheck?
12.Do you feel like your current salary is enough for you to make ends meet?
13. How many months a year do you receive a paycheck?
14. In general, what are your major monthly expenses?
15. Are there any financial goals that you are still working towards?
16. What is the biggest piece of financial advice you would offer someone considering teaching?

Wages need to go up $27, after 3 year of working at school, pay raise $30 /hr.

Teachers make the lowest salaries....because we went 4 years of college as an 2 more years to get the credentials...that is 6 years; to get psid the lowest

Hi! Thank you for the information in this video. I was just wondering if that pay chart was for teaching middle school or elementary school. Did you get paid less as an elementary school teacher? Thanks!

I love these videos. But all of the videos on surviving off of a teacher's salary are made by teacher's who live in double income households. I want to know how to survive on a teacher's salary as a single person. I wonder if it's even possible due to the lack of videos about it.
