If your push ups are…well…uglier than you’d like, then it may be time to check your ego, break things down and focus on regressing to progress.

Sometimes little form deviations creep in and we don’t even realize it.

At times like this, it isn’t just about doing more push ups.

Because practicing improper form or recruitment patterns only further ingrains the movements we want to correct.

The question is….how do you change your form, get the correct muscles working and build up to those picture perfect push ups from your toes?

It isn’t just about simply modifying the push up.

There are actually 4 main forms of skill work that I’ve seen dramatically improve clients' push up results when combined over the week.

I call it their “skill work” because we are working on specific push up variations or training techniques to improve their push ups skills.

And in this video I want to go over each of these 4 skills and how you can implement them into your weekly training routine, as well as one of the most unsexy secrets to improving your push ups, so you can see great improvements over the next 30 days!

Great Tips!!
I remember <--(that simple fact is amazing in itself) back in Junior High School in gym class we would do The Marine Corp challenge. One kid did the push ups while another kid lay on the floor and stretched his fist under his chest and kept count. You had to lower down and touch only your chest to his fist without your butt sagging or it didn't count.

This is great; I’ve been wanting to do perfect pushups but give up too easily. I have a bucket list and this one is on that list.
In the past I had been doing pushups the inch worm way and now I’m able to straighten my back, but still unable to pushup the correct way.
Now that I see the correct format, I am going to start this for 30 days. Again thanks for the great explanation.

This is so helpful! I'll be working on the step where you focus on going from the bottom to the top of the pushup. I've been so stuck for so long not getting stronger on this move. You've given me hope and an action plan, thank you!

Cori is one of the best instructors on the internet. Really outstanding. My favorite way to modify is elevating my feet to a chair or wearing a weight belt.

This is awesome!! I can easily do 10-15 reps at a 45 degree angle, this is going to finally move me on to the full horizontal push up. Thanks Cori! Do you have a warm up video?

I have arthritis in my thumb joints, so my thumbs don't want to lie flat. I've tried push up bars but this is painful too. Is there anything else I can try Cori?

I have wrists that I’m sure have arthritis in them and it makes it hard to keep my hands at that angle doing a push up, any tips?

This video could be organized better. It's pretty unclear where each "tip" starts and stops. All the instruction here just kind of blurs together.
