Turkey’s Last Remaining Monument of the Ottoman Empire

You could easily spend days, weeks even, exploring the sprawling Ishak Pasha Palace. The Pasha family spent over a century building this spectacular structure, beginning in 1685. A unique combination of Armenian, Georgian and Ottoman architecture, the fortress in Doğubayazıt, Turkey, was abandoned when the Ottoman Empire fell. But it quietly stands guard over the remote hills of eastern Turkey to this day.

There’re hundreds if not thousands of Ottoman monuments scattered around Turkey. The mosques and palaces of Istanbul, various buildings like hospitals and train stations still in operation today in different cities...

How is this the last Ottoman monument? There are so many of them, like Dolmabahce and Topkapi palaces etc

I mean I love great big story but after this video I'll take their facts with a grain of salt! How could this be the only monument left from an empire that lastet more than half a millennial? It became 357 years older than the US is atm. Ishak Paşa is really nice but not even close to be the most significant monument from that era. Also i get that some reporters don't do the effort to look for the correct pronunciation of words/names but this guy not only butchered every name he simply changed the order if the letters. He said ishka every damn time... Still appreciate the content this channel puts out, just hope they do a little more research.

I am from Doğubayazıt and I can say that I technically grow up in this palace. It makes me feel proud and happy to see my city in one of my favourite channel. The title is wrong it is not the last one but it is one of the most significant and beautiful one in Ottoman History. I can host you if you visit my city.

As a student of Ottoman architecture, I feel compelled to inform you your facts are completely wrong...

It isn't the last remainder of Ottomans actually.

Yeah aside from Topkapı, Beylerbeyi, Kuçüksu, Çırağan palaces and Yavuz Sultan Selim, Nusretiye, Suleymaniye, Blue Mosqures and many more historical Ottoman strucutres, it may be the only one worth mentioning in this video by saying it is the only one left. Get your facts right please, it is misleading. It is not the only historical strucutre in Turkey.

It isn’t the last monument but it is still a gorgeous place. And the snow makes it a winter wonderland.

Saying this is Turkey’s last remaining monument of ottoman empire sounds like everything left remaining from ottoman was destroyed.

Could you open that up please? 🤨

Thousands of Ottoman monuments are still tall and visible to anyone who wanted to enjoy their vision, beauty and the architectural art of buildings, which indicates the greatness of the Ottoman Empire.

Fun fact: I have been there.

Russian Soldiers stole this palace's Golden Gate located at the entrance (Which was massive) during Ottoman Empire time.

Dude, ever been to Turkey ? I can't walk 10 meters without coming across something from the Ottoman Empire. In a 100 meter radious, there are 5 fountains, 3 mosques, a hamam (public bath) and a trillion more things where I live from the Ottoman Era. What the hell do you mean the last monument ?

Literally spelled: is-hak (as you know, the biblical figure Isaac)
Stubborn narrator: iška
