From the Pacific Northwest combining with British Columbia, Canada, to the South creating a legion of their own, secession movements have come and gone throughout American history. Even before the United States was fully formed, discussions took place about whether or not the land should be a single nation, or several. So today we'll be looking at some of the most notable movements, and seeing which, if any, have a chance of succeeding.

So speaking as someone born and raised and currently living in Washington State, the part highlighted in blue at 6:10, are not the Cascade Mountains. You missed the mountains almost completely and even highlighted parts of the Rockies which are far to the east of the Cascades. The video was interesting, but when you miss simple things like this, it makes me doubt the rest of the information.

As long as the states are receiving federal funds, it's not likely to happen, however I can foresee a time when there is a major economic and financial collapse forcing the states to become independent. Probably the most likely scenario would be Texas, which was an independent nation for 10 years before joining the USA.

My issue with sensationalizing/polarizing titles, in general, is that they make it hard to share with the people that need to hear it. Even when it’s a legitimate viewpoint.

No one who doesn’t already see the issues at play is likely to watch these videos because of the way people title them. So, sharing becomes a pointless exercise and the information doesn’t get through.
