We watch every episode, but man, sometimes they hit it out of the park. I have been loving learning about Mildred's Lane. What a great story :)

In the past week, I've been to two awesome places of art that feel Art Assignment-y to me: the Cisternerne in Copenhagen and the Verbeke Foundation in Stekene, Belgium. I'd also love to see something more along the lines of immersive installations, which I've just gotten into. I don't know much of anything, but I love the ones I've waded into in those places!

In 1902 the majority of Americans lived in this type of setting. They grew most of their food, made their own clothes and all manner of tools and household necessities. 'Store-bought' was considered an inferior product to handmade and a waste of scarce cash. People were resourceful, crafty and hard working. It was a difficult but richly rewarding way of life.
