From Shondaland and Creator Chris Van Dusen, Bridgerton follows Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family as she makes her debut onto Regency London’s competitive marriage market. Hoping to follow in her parent’s footsteps and find a match sparked by true love, Daphne’s prospects initially seem to be unrivaled. But as her older brother begins to rule out her potential suitors, the high society scandal sheet written by the mysterious Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews) casts aspersions on Daphne. Enter the highly desirable and rebellious Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), committed bachelor and the catch of the season for the debutantes’ mamas. Despite proclaiming that they want nothing the other has to offer, their attraction is undeniable and sparks fly as they find themselves engaged in an increasing battle of wits while navigating society’s expectations for their future.

Bridgerton is a romantic, scandalous, and quick-witted series that celebrates the timelessness of enduring friendships, families finding their way, and the search for a love that conquers all. The series also stars Jonathan Bailey (Anthony Bridgerton”), Nicola Coughlan (“Penelope Featherington”), Claudia Jessie (“Eloise Bridgerton”), Ruby Barker (“Marina Thompson”), Adjoa Andoh (“Lady Danbury”), Golda Rosheuvel (“Queen Charlotte”), Luke Thompson (“Benedict Bridgerton”), Luke Newton (“Colin Bridgerton”), Ruby Stokes (“Francesca Bridgerton”), Will Tilston (“Gregory Bridgerton”), Florence Hunt (“Hyacinth Bridgerton”), Ruth Gemmell (“Lady Violet Bridgerton”), Bessie Carter (“Prudence Featherington”), Harriet Cains (“Philipa Featherington”), Polly Walker (“Lady Portia Featherington”), Ben Miller (“Lord Featherington”), Sabrina Bartlett (“Siena Rosso”), Martins Imhangbe (“Will Mondrich”), and Lorraine Ashbourne (“Mrs. Varley”).

Daphne usually wears blue, but then often wears purple after she marries Simon. This symbolizes her linkage with him as blue (her color) and red (his color) make purple.

I think the last 10 Minutes were rushed. I would have loved a whole season about the last 10 Minutes

I loved all those hidden things. But actually I didn’t thought there’d be so many! My favourite still is the pop music covered by strings all thorough the season!!

I noticed only after learning that Penelope was Lady Whistledown that she was called "Pen" and for me that should have or could have been a way in to her connection to Whistledown.

Bridgerton is fabulous in every way! The storyline, the actors, the costumes, the setting, the romance, the LOVE story! And of course, Rege-Jean Page, possibly the handsomest man of all actors, and lovely Phoebe Dynevor, whose superb acting (both of them, ) and the chemistry between I just finished watching for a 3rd time. It is incredible! I may just be addicted.

The bee is significant, if you read the series you’d know, because Anthony’s father died from a reaction to the be sting, hence why Anthony won’t settle down. He’s afraid he’ll die young like his father.

This honestly in my opinion, is the best period Piece show in like ever and one of the things that makes it so good is race was not a factor. It literally took every race and didn't see it as a color. I loved every aspect of that, that's what made this show so damn great best. Best period Piece of all time. Like I'm going to watch it again that's how much I liked it

Loved Lady Danbury speeches, the 1st about stepping in to the light and the 2nd about the power of love, being the force to overcome our differences. I think, forgive me if I am wrong, this was the subtle nod towards the diverse cast, and the modern audience. Best decision ever to have diverse cast, as beside making it relatable to modern audience, it added more substance and facets to the production. I am looking forward to Kate and Anthony's story in season 2.
Also bees are symbol of having good judgement, might it be nod to Penelope's secret pseudonym Lady Wistledown...bees are also symbol of wealth and good luck, and in some cultures are believed to help spirits find their way to heaven or be heavenly messengers, so could it be that the late Viscount Bridgestone is keeping an eye on his children... Butterflies also are believed to be symbols of rebirth, metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly, messengers from the spirit world, and magic.

... on a slightly different arc, as a black 14/15 century Hundred Years War/WOTR black re-enactor that I am, it was refreshing to see an ethnically diverse set of actors in this show! Well done Netflix ❤👍🏾

I guessed who “Lady Whistleblower” was immediately. Bc of just how ignored she was. Especially the way they had Eloise and Penelope staring at each other from episode 1 on. I thought if it’s not a lesbian relationship then it’s for another reason. And it was. Especially when Miss Thompson was exposed. They were practically slapping us in the face with it.

This is brilliant. How the designers and other behind the scene people tell a story so magically, and we even didnt noticed. On dresses, words on other language written on an chalk board. We dont deserve their cleverness

One of the best things about this show is the diversity in the actors! Fantastic to see people of colour represented, regardless if it’s not true to history.

Loved it loved it loved it ❤️
