I'll never forget my two attacks before my gallbladder was removed. They were like childbirth. Nothing at all like your description of the upper and back pain. It radiated everywhere. It was agony. The first time I was loaded up with morphine injections and sent home after a night. The second time I saw a doctor who sent me strait to surgery. Thank God.

For anyone with abdominal pain, I know it really sucks and I sympathize with you. It’s awful especially at night time trying to rest and you can’t because the pain just keeps you awake. I’ve been there. Hot showers sometimes helped me. Just remember it’ll pass eventually and you’ll get through it.

That was very complete, especially covering the return to work detail & why the cholesterol checked out fine, but may be higher in the bile sac - Thank You for taking the time for this.

Are there any ways to prevent surgery and dissolve the stones? Taking the gallbladder out can cause all kinds of digestive issues. I feel like Doctors are too quick to take it out.

Thank you so much for explaining with clarity. I'm still debating on having this surgery. My pain comes and goes and is mostly on the right lower side. I thank you again for shedding light regarding gallbladder stages and complications. Stay safe and God Bless.

Had mine taken out a week ago. No digestive issues at all. You have to remember 95%+ of gallbladder surgery is very successful and no longer term problems. Unfortunately the other 5%, most of whom have other medical issues as well as gallbladder problems, write a lot of comments on youtube !

Thank you great video. I had something not quite right for a while and finally identified as gall bladder and eventually just had it taken out. Should have done it a long time ago. This video is accurate.

I wanted to give an update; I just had an ultrasound with reference to the several gallstones that I had initially, and they have been significantly reduced in size!! I was very pleased with the results, obviously.

I'm cautiously optimistic that the gallstones will completely dissolve, in the future. I have been on US for several months. I have also been very cautious with my diet, along with taking milk thistle, taking Tudca, increasing vitamin D3, along with other supplements.

I am very fortunate that I had gallstones that were asymptomatic. They were discovered by accident when an ultrasound was ordered for my stomach, at my request, because of mild, but ongoing stomach pain.

It was a very good wake up call for me, however, to really pay attention to what I was eating, and to the quality of food I was eating, and to really feed my body, foods that were truly healing, and giving me good bacteria. I've eaten many salads with multiple fresh veggies, including artichokes, dark green lettuce (arugula) along with fresh spinach, all which are great for the digestive tract, along with yogurt that is low in sugar content, but free of artificial ingredients.

I will state, however, that everyone is completely different with regards to the level of medical care that they need. What works for me, may or may not work for the next person.

I was very fortunate, as I wasn't in extreme pain, as anyone knows that has had a gallbladder attack, can attest to, just how painful these attacks are.

For many people, surgery is their only option, and it can truly, save their lives.

Watching this while rolling on the floor crying with pain which is happening almost every 2nd night now. This is despite having a very early dinner and trying to eat non-spicy foods. I had an ultrasound and it showed some medium sized gallstones but they're reluctant to do surgery. My whole diaphragm feels on fire all the way to my back. This is no way to live!! 😭

Can you talk about the difference between physiological vs. functional gallbladder issues and what a patient can do.... (ie. Functionally they aren’t making enough bile). What if someone suddenly starts eating a ketogenic diet, will they have issues due to more bile production? What if a patient presents with all of the symptoms of a gallstone but on exam and ultrasound no stones are seen...
