How the mighty fail catastrophically, but yet fall upwards and get monumentally rewarded for it, keep up the great work Nicko mate👍

I am so glad I refused to use the Philips that the hospital gave me. To have them send me a different brand. They asked where I had the info from about the health risks.... a year later they sent out letter saying they were taking the Philips CPAP's back.... it's all about money

So an updated review of other brands will be needed so that I can make a decision on a new machine. I don’t even want their toothbrushes going forward. Please do a list of brands available for cpap.

I would like to see a video on the extent of which machines by which companies had this problem. Early this year I started paying some attention to this problem but it took me months to realize that Philips and Respironics are now the same thing.
Was the degrading foam only used on a few Philips machines made in the last decade? It seems weird that everyone else in the industry used the perfect soundproofing material and they did not. Just a few days ago I read elsewhere that Respironics had received its first complaints about foam way back in 2010!
I used a Respironics Remstar machine from 2006 to 2011. Recent knowledge has got me digging through old receipts and paying close attention to this scandal.

Corporate corruption? What a shocker! That's some fine detective work there Nicko! Thanks for the update report. Good bit of drama production too, but the actress needs a shave.

A question somewhat off-topic. I usually wake up 2 or 3 times at night over my nasal pillow mask slipping. I never feel fully rested when I wake up in the morning. I go to bed at 8 pm and wake up at 7 am - but I invariably hit the 'snooze' button because I'm exhausted. Is this due the the poor mask fit; or, am I getting too much sleep? 😮😮😮

Nick, Question I recieved a replacement of my DreamStation 1 for another DreamStation 1 to which they claim it is a new unit. The foam inside looks the same, except it is a white looking color. I can't afford to go buy a different cpap machine as I am on Disability here in Canada and everything here is twice the just to survive here. I trust your judgement, if you were in my shoes would you remove that foam out of the so-called new Dreamstation 1 machine?

Incredible story! Thanks for making us aware. Corporate integrity seems to be at an all-time low. 😢 By the way, in the US, the name of that city is pronounced with a hard “g”, as in Pitts-burg.

Is the Airsense 10 involved? Thanks for your work ! 😇

Thx for the new video and info, Nick. I’m unclear on the situation now. I’m in Canada. 3 months ago my PR series 60 was finally exchanged for a new Dreamstation 2. Is my new machine safe? Or not?

Also, I’m looking to purchase a travel machine. My research is down to either the ResMedMini but I’m leaning towards the Breas Z2. My travel usage is some flying but mostly car camping and sailing with 12v house batteries on board.
I’d really appreciate your opinion! I have looked at your existing review 😊videos and others on the subjectThanks 😊

Unfortunately, this is what happens in all enterprise level companies. The person who F's up get's the promotion, and the whistleblower or some schmuck that gets blind sided is what always seems to happen with big f ups

Keep getting emails about mine and wife's Philips devices from Philips about replacing them what are the prescriptions? I am through with them, they are not trustworthy . I had to replace my machine and wife's machine out of pocket as the insurance company refused to replace them until 5 years were up. Luck for me I could do that but not every user could. The US medical system and insurance companies are not smart. If the device caused medical issues dealing with those would be much more expensive. Penny wise and pound foolish.

I worked for Philips in the US years ago and they were shady then. Also can’t blame an Aussie for not knowing, but we pronounce the ‘burgh’ as berg here so Pittsburgh sounds like iceberg.😀
