I had some of this stuff used on my fingertip when I cut it open in mutiple spots. This stuff is super cool and works wonders when stitches are either not a option or just not a good choice in the moment

As a diesel mechanic I approve this repair. Always have crazy glue on deck

Surgery resident (will be a surgeon in a few years) here, you typically pull the wound along its length to approximate the incision instead of pushing the skin together. This way you get a much better approximation and it also properly levels the different layers. If you push, one side can lift up above the other and you will get poor healing and increased scarring.

Used derma-bond thousands of times, found out how to do it right and how I did it wrong firsthand.

I am proud that I know the inventor of these skin glues.

I go to a wound specialist every other week for a brown recluse bite that is now an open hole and all the stuff she uses for it is so cool! I love learning about medical stuff that I didn't know existed. ❤️

Once I cut open the tips of two of my fingers and istg this stuff saved me from getting stitches. So happy that the doctors remembered it existed and didn't run for stitches like they normally do.

Been using liquid skin for years as a Machinist. Heals better than stitches. Just make sure to stop the bleeding before application or it won't heal properly.

I have some of this stuff at home for my senior parents, this works much better for them because it forms an incredibly strong covering better than a scab and it’s waterproof, much better than having to reapply a bandage any time it gets wet.

I've had several surgeries and I appreciate all the Drs who use it. My last surgeon who did a surgery I've had before used stitches and now I feel like Frankenstein 😮

Cardiac ICU nurse...most patients have their sternal incision glued back together after open heart surgery and that incision typically runs the length of the sternum. This stuff is awesome

I had a full liver transplant on 11/21/2023 (still in recovery) and they used a mix of dissolvable sutures on inside and used the glue on the outside. Its healing wonderfully.

My fiancée was a CNA in the OR when we were still just dating, she gave me a couple tubes of this because I kept nicking my hands/arms working construction. Dermabond works like a charm

Almost every surgery I got, used with this glue. It was always pretty amazing and the scars looking much cleaner

my c section was glued back together. i think he used dissolving stitches on the inside layers, and the glue on the outside. i have a seriously tiny scar, like pencil line thin. it is super cool

Had a reoccurring open wound on the coccyx with a bed bound incontinence patient. This adhesive held up pretty well as long as there was a moisture barrier. Exposure to excessive moisture for 2 hours at a time will break it down faster. Using dry clean rolled gauze in that area seemed to help as well. You don't want to oversaturate the area you are working on with this pen, it will flake around the edges. Great solution for wound care. I was informed that it may sting when applying to an open wound.

This reminded me of the doctor who glued my foot shut instead of stitching it when he saw I was afraid of the suture kit the nurse got out when I was 6 or 7 years old. He’s a real one.
