Apple yesterday unveiled iOS 15, the newest version of the iOS operating system that runs on the iPhone (and the iPad with iPadOS 15). ‌iOS 15‌ is a significant update that introduces many important new features, and we thought we'd give MacRumors viewers a hands on look at the new software.

Hey Apple, not all of us live within a major city nor do we sit around chatting with emoticons all day and FaceTime. Give us more business application updates (multi task updates are good) and fix things that were touted years ago yet still don’t work well, at all or just plainly implemented with the wrong workflow.

Still no way to mark messages unread or schedule them to send later. Still no Home app or Safari on tvOS. Ridiculous!

Great, I’ve really missed sensible tabs and browser plugins from Android. I just wish they could copy Androids rotation lock as well, the one in iOS sucks 😖

iOS 15 is a bit of a let down ngl, like iOS 13 to iOS 14 was a decent jump, but Safari is God’s sendings in iOS 15, also just a warning, don’t update your iPhone 6s or SE 1st Gen yet, my iPhone SE 1st Gen on iOS 15 feels like 4s on iOS 9, this is not a performance update for older devices like iOS 12 and up were, although iPhone X and up are perfectly fine on iOS 15 in my testings.

Maybe I'm alone, but I can't help but think that the progressive rounding of practically everything "kid-ifies" the OS and makes it feel almost patronizing. I believe there's a balance between sharp corners and so round that it looks like an OS for a toddler. Apple, it seems, has ventured now into the realm of "too round". Thoughts?

I have 3 apple devices and haven’t had a single FaceTime call in all 2020. and neither did my friends with Apple devices. So all features in Facetime or the messages app are totally useless to me.
