iOS 15: Best features and biggest changes

I tested iOS 15’s new features, and everything from bigger additions like FaceTime call weblinks for friends on Android and Windows to smaller changes like pinning conversations to the top of the Messages app have improved my iPhone without disrupting my daily status quo.

I wish they would add the feature of being able to schedule text messages. I work early hours sometimes and I think of things I need to text people but it's too early and I don't want to disturb them. Then, I end up forgetting completely or remembering way later than I wanted to. This feature would be extremely beneficial.

I’m really excited for the new weather app look. I know to some people it doesn’t really matter or may seem like a boring upgrade but I feel like I’m always checking the weather on my phone and I’m curious to see the new realistic animations lol.

You can pin conversations since iOS 14. I’m really excited for shareplay and the expansion of home/work keys!

If there’s one thing I want apple to do on iOS is improve the settings app. There’s so many tabs to look for and majority of the time the setting I’m looking for is hidden deep within another setting . A lot of settings also seem to fall under a lot of different category’s

As an Android guy I really commend Apple's software support. When the 6 series came out, I was still a student and just this month I celebrated my 3rd anniversary at work and the 6 series is still getting support😂

I think being able to choose between having the tab bar at the top or bottom is an awesome thing- hopefully some more customizable stuff comes to iOS later

I’m honestly excited for the new maps look can finally see exits and where to turn better. In the city with exit after exit I would always miss exits. This looks like an actual gps.

My favorite (and probably the most underrated feature) with iOS 15 is the native support for browsing with keyboards and gaming controllers on iPadOS. Discovered accidentally and have been absolutely loving it because sometimes my iPad is in a position where it's hard to reach with my fingers. Browsing with arrow keys or the joy stick is so fun and comfortable sometimes (tho not always the most efficient!)

I really hope that in Focus Mode there’s the ability to turn off letting others know you’re not being distributed. Otherwise I will never use it. I don’t need to let others know what I’m up to.

Focus is easily the best feature in this update. I love that it also will sync across devices.

pinning conversations to the top in text messaging is not a feature of iOS 15 that’s been out a little while already!

Shame the focus feature doesn’t allow you to select which apps you DON’T want to be bothered from. Be perfect to turn off work apps eg outlook, teams, voip app etc.

Was so tempted on getting betas but somehow the wait was worth it. Couldn’t put up with the bugs 😂. I’m so ready to update to iOS 15 already.
