The show, and the movie, fills me with so much joy. I love how much they love each other.

Had the delight of seeing the movie in the cinema.
One of the things I love about the show is its style of humour, grounded family interactions and solid emotional beats.
And boy this this film stick true to all of these. Even with a more intense plot than your average episode it still feels true to the shows style.

Not only is it great to see a 2D animated film get a theatrical release, which really shows how fluid the animation can be, but it's also amazing to see a film based off a good TV series.

The only problems I can think about the film is I wanted more. One more song, a few more character appearances. But what we already get in this film is so good, I just wanted even more.

Yeah Gene's subplot is basically non-existent, and Tina's isn't anything new for her, but at least the writers really pushed for all the family to have their own little stories as well as the overarching murder plot.
