Thoughts on the Bob's Burgers Movie?

I've actually seen people talk about the songs in this and praise the choreography. The thing to note is that they're not trying to do a big dance number, what they were trying to do in this movie is do a more realistic musical, no-one really has the exact same dance they're doing, they're just all grooving how they feel and occasionally try to match another person's dancing. With that in mind I really liked how they did it, it's pretty refreshing to see a new style of musical number.

I adored this movie, it pulled me right back into watching Bob's Burgers again. I also love how while everyone had a focus, Louise had the most focus, and just the little details like how everyone's breathing was depicted as labored when they were trapped. It was subtle but it was there, and that's largely thanks to the cast.

As someone who isn’t too familiar with the show, I really liked this movie. Such a shame that it under-preformed. The songs were also great.

As someone who grew up on Fox and adult swim runs of adult cartoons like Family Guy, American Dad, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and yes, Bob’s Burgers, I have to say that Bob’s Burgers is a more low key, down to earth adult cartoon and this movie was an absolute delight to watch, very heartwarming.

I went and saw this in theaters with my family and we really like Bob's Burgers, my mom watches it on TV whenever she can, and we had a good time. It was nice to be watching a movie with the whole family since it had been a while and we laughed together.

I enjoy watching Linda in her costume throughout the film Louise's bunny ear storyline was very nice. As a casual fan of Bob's burgers, this was a well made movie.

It’s a shame Disney doesn’t give Bob’s Burgers the same love and attention they do to the Simpsons.

I'm glad you fell in love with Bob's Burgers Douge! Bob and Linda have been on almost EVERY top 10 best animated couple list!

I actually loved the hell out of this movie. I stopped watching the show around season 5, but the movie really rekindled my love for it and has encouraged me to finally catch up on it. I still jam out to the songs in the movie as well. “Sunny Side Up Summer” will never leave my head.

I liked Louise's storyline about wondering whether she should stop wearing her iconic bunny hat, but it just wants me to see her without it even more. If they don't reveal it in the movie, when will they?

To be honest, I like the songs, but the one I love and remember the most was definitely Lucky Ducks. It’s just so much fun, I love the melody, and I can’t help but sing along and maybe dance along a bit when listening to it.

It is just that much damn fun for me!

The movie honestly felt perfect to me, kept it true to itself while improving every aspect, they always have whacky plots while managing to keep them down to earth as if a family is really going through it with the kids wild imaginations making it feel bigger than it actually is, the songs were great and not overbearing, the animation was improved massively without changing it too much, getting a deeper look into the characters was a better choice than a bigger plot with less character insight in my opinion

I honestly think the movie intended the song visuals to not be that impressive. I believe they’re expressing how ambitious and passionate the family is, while showing the audience just how mundane and uninteresting their surroundings are. Nothing conveys this more than when Bob and Linda are walking out of the building in the opening song. The camera zooms out revealing just how tiny and insignificant they are in their grounded universe, yet the uplifting tone in the song, along with their movement and faces show you just how big the situation is to them. They’re an imaginative family, and i think getting to look at them without the crazy visuals that the musical numbers usually have, really showed us just how ambitious and high-spirited they are, despite living in a pretty uninteresting cartoon universe.

Big fan of Bob's burgers here too 👍 My wife and I went to see the movie and we both left kinda underwhelmed 🤔 While I normally like Bob's burgers songs, the ones in the movie just felt kinda random and awkward to me.. Alot felt like this kinda sporadic aimless sing-talking. It surprised me because I thought I'd like the movie as a fan of the show 🤔 Was surprised how critically praised it was given how sub-par it felt to me anyway. Glad it wasn't just me who felt a bit underwhelmed.

The audio commentary kind of addresses why they didn't go the route of something like The Simpsons movie. As storytellers, the Bob's Burgers team deliberately choose to "revel in smallness"(as they put it). A "save the town" plot or something grand like that would kind of contradict the brand's identity.

This movie should have been more about Bob and his mother. That would have been something we have never seen before on the show. We have no idea what happened to her, or even if she's still alive or not. What we got was basically just a regular episode with fancier esthetics.

I freaking loved this film. I love Bob's Burgers and I went into this film hyped and it lived up. Only problem is that we don't see Louise belcher without her hat. 1 scene were we see Bob Belcher mom had me crying.

Since it's mentioned in this review, The Simpsons Movie definitely deserves the Disneycember treatment eventually.
