CLAMS CASINO PRINT RECIPE:

INGREDIENTS WITH GRAM AMOUNTS

Ingredients
2 dozen (24) Littleneck clams - rinsed and purged if necessary
¼ cup (50 grams) dry white wine
5 tablespoons (75 grams) butter cut into small cubes and divided
1/4 cup (56 grams) clam juice or low sodium chicken stock
1 large lemon cut into wedges, for serving
3 strips bacon cut into small pieces - you will need 24 pieces for 2 dozen clams

For the seasoned breadcrumbs
½ cup (75 grams) dry breadcrumbs
½ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons parsley - minced
3 cloves garlic - minced
½ medium red bell pepper - ½ cup worth, finely chopped
¼ cup (56 grams) clam juice or low sodium chicken stock

Love how you supported your son to share his true feelings, while you were able to share your appreciation of the food without minimizing your boy. Gotta share this story. I made the beef and barley soup from a few videos back. Invited my friends over with their 4 year old. The kid eats chicken nugget, mac and cheese and apple juice, no fooling. Let me tell you she walked into the dining room, got in her dad's lap and ate a whole bowl. We almost cried. Picky baby ate, so that recipe was a winner.🤩 I didn't appreciate clams casino until my late teens so I understand James on that one. I really enjoy them now😊

Shellfish for most kids would be tough. I'm seeing a ton of recipes using clams and oysters this year. Compared to so much food right now, they are relatively inexpensive. Oyster Rockefeller were a tradition at our house in the Midwest. Lots of shucking .... but so worth it. I also do garlic clams from
"Bistro Cooking at Home" by Gordon Hammersley. You would love that book! Merry Christmas!!!

Well, we all can't love everything. James gives his honest opinion, which is great. But, this combination of ingredients sounds, and looks good to me, so I think I'm going to give it a try!👍👍

I started my own Alfredo and angel after watching your video and it's better than anything I had. I think it's the Parmigiano-Reggiano garlic cloves butter and heavy whipping cream. Every where I've been it tastes nothing like it. Thank you!!!

I went to a family dinner recently, one of the sides was baked brussel sprouts with garlic, romano, S&P, and a drizzle of olive oil. I was so impressed at how simple yet incredibly delicious it was! My teenage daughter said it was so terrible and she would never eat a bite of anything like that for the rest of her life. We all like different things and maybe it has something to do with age. I said "I'll have yours"!!! 😊

I have always wanted to try making this. It isn't Christmas at our house without clams. The shucking is intimidating but thanks to watching you and Tara I am going to steal some of the clams that I have ordered to make your Zuppa di Pesce on Saturday and try these as an appetizer. Thanks a million for all the great videos and recipes. I have my mom, brothers and their neighbors watching the videos now. I'm allergic to shellfish. I watched this to see James' critique. You're raising a kid with a good palette. I got my 16 year old son to try a clementine yesterday. (He doesn't care for oranges, generally) and it was a revelation for him. LOL
