Innacurate - Squidward would've gotten ragdolled ten feet with a stiff 3d cam on him, sat for a few seconds, then played a get-up animation before talking

Kids these days will never know the joy of driving an old rusted out silt strider with a manual transmission and fuzzy dice on the mirror

I cried when the Morrowind main theme kicked in while on the boat as I hit the docks of Raven Rock, I don't care who knows it. The silt Strider was icing on the cake. I did immediately save my game and try and kill it. Old habits die hard.

Idk why but "Hold on there, Nerevar!" had me in tears. 😂

How did "Silt Strider" sound so much more natural than "beetle"

That helmet rotation at 0:01 is so beautifully smoothe

Squidward: "WILL YOU FORGET THE STUPID MORROWIND"
Spongebob: *Casts Levitate and leaves Squidward with Juib explaining how he defeated the Slit Striders*

If you close your eyes hard enough and believe...you will have yourself a personal pet Silt Strider.

I want a full elder scrolls adventure series with Squidborn and Spongevar.

Edit: Someone commented "Squarevarine" and that's so much better.

2nd Edit: someone just commented "Kvatchrick" 🤣

"Took directions from a journal"
This is the part that did it for me.

Core memory: first Elder Scrolls game I played was Morrowind. Saw a Silt Strider in the beginning village area and thought it was a giant enemy just sitting there. Shot a bow at it, arrow hit and disappeared. Then I got thrown backward, did a few flips in midair, and landed on top of the Imperial Office, then fell through the world.
Best game ever.

The video started at 53 seconds for me for some reason, and it was just a Dunmer telling me he'd smash my head in, and then the video ended lol.

Wasn't expecting it to keep going but you put effort in and it shows

Only Morrowind pilgrims know the Mages Teleport-Silt-Gondola route by heart. _GrandMaster Ones also have a dedicated Mournhold Teleport as well._

I've been a fan of Elder Scrolls since playing TES3:Morrowind. I won't lie, I got excited when I heard the Silt Strider's call when I was playing the Dragonborn DLC. For everyone focused on the racism in Morrowind, well, they paid for it. When Baar Dau (Lie Rock or Ministry of Truth) fell and destroyed the city of Vivec, and the eruption of Red Mountain, Dunmer fled Vvardenfel for the mainland in Morrowind. Argonians in Black Marsh got the signal from the hist trees (I think), and proceeded to slaughter all the Dunmer they could as they traveled north into Morrowind. Many Dunmer were put to the sword and many argonian slaves were freed.

I was just ducking around one time, and shot an arrow at that damned thing. It took a long head turn, looked at me, and my fucking game crashed.

I played Skyrim way before I ever played Morrowind, but the way they presented Morrowind’s history and current situation was simply beautiful. With all the references to Morrowind scattered throughout the game in the Keening quest, Shrine to Azura, New Gnisis Cornerclub, Saint Jiub’s appearance in the Soul Cairn, the various lore books about the history of the Dunmer & Dwemer (those books and everything on the Akaviri were probably the only books I sought out to read in my 1st playthrough), and not to mention the complete landscape change found in Solstheim with the ash storms and Silt Strider especially, etc; you can really tell they put a lot of care in regards to Morrowind. Thanks to all these details, Morrowind had painted the most vivid image than any other province in Skyrim: a melancholic yet beautiful land plagued with a terrible natural disaster, mass exoduses, and a declining ecosystem.

Hearing the story of the last Silt Strider from his caravaner was an extremely important and emotional detail for me—direct and physical evidence of Morrowind’s decline lets the imagination run wild trying to picture how it could’ve looked before Red Mountain exploded. Therefore, getting to see Morrowind in its heyday in its own game only reinforced beauty and tragedy of the place. Going around and getting to know people, places, and creatures which you know are doomed to extinction; meeting Vivec and Dagoth-Ur in the flesh after reading about them 4 centuries in the future; even seeing the Dwemer… Skyrim absolutely made me fall in love with Morrowind.

Great use of the AI voice, and really good work with the helmet movements. The only thing this could have possibly made this better is if you put in the Morrowind stock punch sound when Squidward is run over
