In this video we cover some basic block building techniques that allow us to complete steps 1 and 2 of the Petrus method.

Keep in mind that these steps are easily the hardest part of the Petrus method for new users to learn, especially new cubers. Keep practicing! It takes lots of practice to begin seeing blocks the way I do.

Thats probably best petrus tutorial out there!

Great explanation! I want to try Petrus out, but the blockbuilding daunts me, as a CFOP user. Thanks!

Thanks for the video - it's been really helpful so far. I'm doing ok, I can get the 2x2x3, but it takes me a little while. Is it just a case of practice until it's instinctual? In particular I find myself looking at a corner and an edge, and taking about 20s to work out what the 2-3 moves are to pair them.
