Petrus is still good to learn, IMO. You learn a lot of good things if you do Petrus F2L a ton of times. Also, isn't Petrus still relevant for FMC solving?

Sometimes making a 2x2 on your 3x3 helps if the scramble you got shows it to be a few turns away on your cube. It is how I was able to get my best PB's in my solves. Saves you time on F2L while making the cross and sometimes you will run into a last layer skip while inserting your last F2L pair. It is rare but always exciting when you run into this situation.
