Age of Sigmar Lore: Idoneth Deepkin with WGO Sam

The latest army to hit the Realms of the Age of Sigmar are the Idoneth Deepkin. A mysterious, dark and reclusive race of Aelves whose history comes from the Old World and is reborn in the Age of Myth.

Alongside an awesome array of miniatures is a new, interesting background. Who are the Idoneth Deepkin, what do they do and why?

WGO Sam goes over some of the first information we have on this in a new type of video coming to WargamerOnline. As we get more publications and the release of this awesome army, the information will be a little clearer and we will know even more about this cursed faction.

Not only the video's great as a lore video, added to it the fact that you're adding your own opinions and thoughts as to why the army's fluff sounds cool and how it would potentially be reflected on the tabletop, is just brilliant.

There is definitely a reason for the idoneth to fight the undead. There is probably no better way to get souls than to steal them from the lord of undeath himself.

As far as i know the namarti are not soulless but have weak souls or something like that and the essenz of the captured souls keeps them alive not sure if i am correct

in before Sam starts the LLM - Leviadon live matters - movement. i´m completly sold to them and they going to be my next AoS army, but first i have to finish 2 of my 3 work in progress 40k armys (salamanders and custodes painting and necrons build and painting). i have one question for the idoneth, wich grand alliance are they? Order? with the hole soulstealing theme they will top the daughters of khain in grim darkness. I love it :-D

Tyrion and Teclis are twins, so "older" isn't really the word... :) Teclis was always the awesome magic user, Tyrion was always the fighty guy. IIRC he taught some humans magic and helped found the Empire's Colleges of Magic. Just mentioning because you seemed to no-sell him as a nobody until the End Times which is hardly fair :)
