I kinda love this lore: Teclis wakes up, the first thing he does is make copies of himself, fucks up and accidentally it's monsters, then pretends it never happened. That is the most high-elf thing ever happened.

I never knew the Idoneth lore was this grim, lol. Their official colour scheme makes them look fairly bright and happy-go-lucky with a few creepy models as the Namarti but the royal folks all looking like Aquaman rejects.

Didn't know they're all this moody and brutal and Volturnos is basically Ra's Al Ghul, haha.

I went all in on this army as my first one and lost interest after seeing how it's so eel heavy. I love the sculptures but I'm one of those that wants to use all of the models lol

I feel like Deepkin are an army I would collect in a second if they were significantly retooled in their next book. I guess not everyone actually wants them to be more Neapolitan though.

I was thinking of either getting these or Sylvaneth and this vid made me pick my faction thanks since sylvaneth is great against what my opponent plays and I really like them but Idoneth are just so fun I can’t deny them I mean come on massive electric eels weaponised sharks and huge turtle leviathans

All I want for Idoneth are more ishanaar unit that have more sinergy with the namarti or priests that actually have unique prayer. Also more deep see monsters that are not strictly fish. I feel like while the battle tome illustrate a wild variety of units (based on the realm's seas they are from) we got almost only akhelians with basic fishy mounts.

Very good video! I would also love list building starting from the Start Collecting boxes. Example: For 2000 points buy 2x start collecting plus X, Y for an effective army for a good price.

Thanks for the explanation! Idoneth Deepkin are my first AoS army I picked up earlier this year and this helped clear some things up(like the fact that all eels is just a meme). I noticed you mentioned running Allopexes as a substitute for Morsarr? How would you go around doing that? I currently have 2 Allopexes and they have mostly disappointed when ran as both a squad(sometimes one dies to morale) or as individual units. Would you need to use Fuethann for the rerolls to wound since most of their damage comes from the mount? And is there -any- scenario where the Retarius net launcher is good? The Regular harpoon launcher outclassed it in my experience. Pardon for the wall of text, but I value your insight.
