IDONETH DEEPKIN: HUGE LORE VIDEO: PART 1: Warhammer Age of Sigmar

Welcome to my channel! This my ongoing series based around Warhammer: Age of Sigmar (and occasionally the odd mention of 40K!).

In this video I talk about the Idoneth Deepkin! This video is all about the lore! And is the first part of 2 videos. We get to learn all about who the idoneth are in this mini series, including why they are after souls, their tragic past, the organisation of their armies and how they attack, the different heroes that make up the Isherann (soul wardens, soulscryers, soulrenders, tidecasters), the new characters (Lotann and High king Volturnos), the underwater cities they inhabit, the cool beasts they ride (leviadons, fangmora eels and allopex sharks, who are ridden by the akhelians), the leaders of the army, their dead god mathlann, the awesome eidolons (aspects of the storm and aspects of the sea), and some of my favourite units in the army: the namarti thrall. I hope you enjoy it! This took a lot of work! All of this awesome info came from this month’s White Dwarf Magazine, which I would thoroughly recommend you check out.

Just like the Morathi and Daughters of Khaine rumours, the “Sea Aelves” look amazing!! They were shown at the Adepticon show. It showed us loads of the new figures! And we also know we have a battletome on the way. We have some cool looking characters, including one with an armed octopus! We also have this awesome character with a cloak made of waves. Then we have aelves riding sea eels and sharks with big bolt throwers on their backs. The battleline aelves look great and have no eyes, which is an interesting twist. It looks like they are running with the theme of Tyrion being blind (as Teclis is his eyes). I can’t wait for these to release! More aelves is always a good thing. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we see Tyrion and Teclis’ faction from the Realm of Light / Hysh, and Malerion’s faction from Ulgu, the Realm of Shadow.

This honestly might be the best part of AoS's lore so far... well. Other than Lizardmen (THE NAME CHANGE TO SERAPHON WAS UNNECESSARY) being the most badass good guys of all time. Those scaly bois deserved that after so long.

Annoying that so many of the old Elven gods are dead. Some form of Mathlann model, an avatar or otherwise, could have been awesome. Regardless, they still could introduce a sort of "reincarnated" Mathlann in the future I guess.

I have a question! If the Namarti are born without eyes why do you need a soul scryer to identify which children have withering souls?
