It’s beautiful that, in a wash of the cold indifference and ironic, detached apathy exhibited by every single character in the game, the final act of petting the chicken is the only one which exhibits kindness and a sense of humanity.

Some of your best work yet. Inspired art makes inspired art, hopefully this does well and you decide to make similar videos on obscure games like this and felvidek

Even though this video didn't do good view wise, don't let that distract that you should make more of this!

Reminds me of Disco Elysium with its absurdist themes + humor. This one somehow seems even more bleak and surreal though haha.

Absurdism seems to be a great theme for philosophical games, since it allows games to test our suspension of disbelief and push the boundaries of what our brains consider to be reality. For instance, even when we are frying cigarettes and bullets, our minds become so absorbed that everything else functionally becomes nothing, while only this wacky frying pan is left in our functional reality. No, the pan is not fake. It is the only real thing there is at that moment.

It sounds like some art-house nonsense, but I feel like the game is playfully trying to tell me that our individual concept of reality does not matter. The line between reality and illusion can be blurred, because they are actually the same thing. When I'm trying to fry an egg in real life, I should stop and think about how incomprehensibly complex and absurd this egg is to my small ape brain. Maybe ask myself, if this egg was just a dream, would it not matter anymore?

Also, maybe I should also try the game, lol. Thank you for your review. I appreciate it.

Ever since I first saw someone play it, only to see them laugh and cry at such a game like this, I knew it was special

Yeah thought you'd like this lmao. Good to see i wasnt off the mark! Video games tend to support surrealism really well, so often these types of games are a joy to play!

I had to give up on some of the missions that required bullets, but fortunately there's more missions than you need

You really made me interested in the game, but it seemed like you rushed the recording. Why speak so fast if it's not a short?
