This is the first biographics video I've ever given a thumbs down. He basically just praised Jeff bezos the entire time while ignoring all the controversial aspects of his business and life

This video about his marriage and “family first” didn’t age well.

As a customer I love Amazon, but this is kind of a puff piece. No mention of the harsh working conditions in his fulfillment centers. If he really did want to be a philanthropist and make the world better, he could start with his employees.

Too bad his heart doesn’t value his employees enough to pay them and treat them decently.

You guys are usually WAY less biased than that. You were drooling over him, you love him so much. You also forgot to mention how amazon employees are notoriously underpaid, overworked and can't even take pee breaks so they make quota in the warehouses.

That frigging mad eye Moody eye that gives me the creeps, plus he should make sure his warehouse staff are properly paid before being bloody holy

This seems less like a biography and more like singing Jeff's praises. There's practically nothing negative Jeff has done in this.

"reinvest to make the company better" - read: buy-out smaller competitors to create a monopoly.

Ah yes. The man worth billions who organized a fundraiser to help pay for his employees during the current pandemic, just so he didn't have to make a dent in his own fortune by providing payed sick leave and vacation.

Nobody mentioned the warehouse workers or drivers who are working 12 hour shifts often times risking their drivers licences and putting their own and safety of others on the line only to try and meet close to impossible quotas in order to keep their jobs and get paid next to nothing. So next time you make a video praising an ultra rich mogul, present the other side of the medal. The side that shows all those people on whos backs he made his bilions. The complete picture would not be such a pretty, candy coated one.

The smell of coffee as you opened the door; the book-lined walls; the pipe-smoking gentleman behind the counter who seemed to know everything; the hours spent letting your fingers skim the book spines; the smell of old leather as you lifted the book and hefted it in your hand: These are my memories of the world before the Internet. I feel so old and in the way.

How about giving some of that money to his employees rather than charity?

15:30 how about his employees in the fullfillment centers?

I wondered where he would sneak in the advertisement, but nothing. At the end I realized that the whole bio was an amazon ad.

I usually love this channel, this time not so much. Bezos is a brilliant man, he's also horrible to his workers and is trying to create a monopoly worldwide. The little blurb about Amazon inviting anyone in the USA to sell on Amazon is very misleading...Amazon undercuts it's own 3rd party sellers. It used to be if you listed an item for sale on Amazon, you paid a percentage of the selling price in fees, which was fair. But then Amazon started undercutting the 3rd party sellers by charging fees that were MORE than the selling price and taking a huge cut out of the shipping paid too....so many sellers had to take a huge loss just to stay on the platform or go out of business. Now, they have started to undercut the manufacturers by letting a new product become popular and then letting their own companies or Chinese companies start selling inferior knock-offs. You need to tell the BAD along with the good when you do these biographies!

You forgot to mention his underlying greed. His low wages and subpar treatment of the general worker.
