There's an old joke about the Bulgarian postal service. It goes something like this.


Around Christmas time, a bunch of mailmen are opening peoples mail to see if it has anything good in it. They open up a letter to Santa which says


"Dear Santa, my family doesn't have much and we're barely getting by, but all I want is some mittens, a hat and a sweater so I can be warm during the winter Love Ivailo"


The mailmen tear up, they pool their money together and manage to buy a pair of mittens and a sweater, but not enough for a hat. They then send them to this poor kid to say it's from Santa. A few weeks later, they are opening mail again, and find this kid wrote back to Santa. The letter said:


"Dear Santa, thanks for the mittens, hat and the sweater. I know you also sent a hat but those bastards at the postal service probably stole it, thanks!"

yup, started using internet in 1996. We had friends of our family with internet access in 1995 but they used aol with a dial-up access point in Greece and another one in Plovdiv, a city in Bulgaria. So every session had to be short, because it was a long distance call:)
