Gresty Academy One Minute Teaser #5: Logic and Reasoning are a mainstay of College Entrance Tests and students often find manipulating logic statements challenging because they do not have such a familiar feel as (for example) algebra. However, as we show in this 'short' video, even fairly complex statements can easily be proved to be tautologies (or contradictions) using truth tables, which eliminates the need for any logical manipulation of the statement whatsoever. Indeed sometimes, using truth tables is QUICKER than using logic, hence it is a useful tool in the maths toolbox.
