The 2023 Jetta/Sagitar is equipped with FWD on every trim; most sedans will have a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four powertrain that makes 158 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual is standard on the base trim, but most Jettas will have the eight-speed automatic.

The 2023 Jetta/Sagitar boasts more trunk space than the Toyota Corolla, and you can drop one or both sides of the 60/40 split-folding rear seatback to open more room. It also offers more rear legroom than the Corolla.
